Before you bring your ride in

Please try to get an idea of what package you would like to book as we schedule your appointment based on how much time it takes to complete. We don’t always have the time to upgrade your package. We can try our best to ballpark quote but different types of paints vary with how tough it is to compound through. Some paint jobs may have cracking, bad paint jobs blends, paint overspray, multiple significant dust nibs, or chemical etching damage that is beyond repair.  

Depending on the week, and time of the year, leaving your vehicle with us for a longer duration of time will usually prove to be mutually beneficial. It gives us even more time to try tackle a stain one more time and doesn’t stress us out as much. However, if we are very busy….which we usually are from March 14th-Dec 31, then your vehicle will have to be moved outside if there is no storage space indoors. Obviously the more feasible solution here is to pick up at the agreed time. Winter months are best for leaving vehicles for a longer amount of time

Throw out all your garbage and remove all possessions from the vehicle. We do not have the time, space or discretion to see what is trash and what is not. We are not responsible for lost items in your vehicle. Check every cargo area, console, door panels, under seats etc before bringing your vehicle in. Although most say they attempt to do so we always end up giving back a bag or two of possessions/clutter. The only thing that should remain in your vehicle is your insurance.

What are you really looking for?

Every vehicle’s condition varies. Are you looking for just protection? Cosmetics? Looking to get rid of all your car wash scratching? Do you want a 100% mirror finish with every attainable scratch remedied? Need a showroom finish or car show prep? Will you be returning once or twice a year? How do you wash your vehicle? Do you have time to do a proper wash?

Upon your first Exterior Revival Detail, we recommend you go with no paint correction (compounding/scratch removal) unless you know it has moderate to heavy scratching throughout the vehicle. Our compound work is now deeper and safer than ever. We can now compound to a mirror finish provided the paint condition is healthy enough. However, most people are blown away with the difference in a polish, where compound work may not even be needed to meet your expectations.

If you do decide to go with paint correction, know that it is to the highest standard of international professional quality if desired. Our compounding rates are the highest they’ve been because of the finish we can attain with most paint jobs now. If you are quoted $400 in correction work, it is totally possible that you could be entirely happy spending $200 in correction. It just depends what you want, and we try our best to understand that, and to facilitate a repeat car care program that works best for your needs.

Overtime charges

If you get a call after dropping the vehicle off, making you aware of an extra charge, remember that it takes a lot of time and a delicate process to have all this done. And if you’re particular vehicle needs more interior work to get excessive stains out, or if you desire your carpet to be completely revived, that this can be time consuming when dirt/sand/salt has been compacted into the carpet over months. As much as we have a process, there are still points in which an interior carpet will need several rounds of air compression, vacuum and shampoo extraction. Some stains and discolouration will not come out. Same goes for exterior paint correction. We try to gauge the best we can with test spots on flat panels, however some spots may be worse than others. We always try our best to stick to  as close to our quote as possible and make you aware if anything changes.
